about

A panihari is a type of song sung by young women in Rajasthan while going to bring water for their household. This particular piece is a cover of the track 'Panihari' performed by Pt. This album and, in particular this song, have become a part of the Indian slide guitar 'canon' if you will, showcasing the guitar's unique versatility in representing all styles of Indian classical and folk music.
