about

This is a full concert recording of my first ever self-produced concert in Mumbai! It was a great success, I drew a small crowd in one of the biggest performance cities in the world and made several new fans. It was a special highlight to be able to perform for friends and family in the city, many were watching my concert for the first time.

The concert took place on February 25th, 2023 and was the final concert of a long India tour (my first since the lockdowns). It took place at Harkat Studios in Versova, Mumbai and I was blessed to be accompanied by my longtime collaborator Rakshanand Panchal on tabla. Rakshanand actually accompanied me on my first ever performances in Mumbai: he was the tabla player for the CD release event for Unexpected Blessings at Title Waves in Bandra and we also played together at House Concerts Mumbai.

I had hired the sound person to make a recording as well, unfortunately that had a lot of high frequency hum and was pretty low fidelity. Luckily I had also set up my Zoom H1, I'm pleasantly surprised with how good it sounds.

I had a great feeling about this concert afterwards and received hearty congratulations from many, I hope that this recording brings you and yours some joy as well.

This album is livicated to Rocky the cat, who joined the spirit world the night before the concert; a huge Mancoon cat from Vermont who always enjoyed listening to ragas on slide guitar while we lay in the grass at my friend Gray's house.
